What ingredients are in FODZYME®? Where do they come from?Updated a month ago
FODZYME® contains three active enzymes:
- Fructan hydrolase - breaks down fructans from garlic, onions, wheat, and etc.,
- Alpha-galactosidase - targets galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS) in beans, legumes, and etc., and
- Lactase - helps digest lactose from dairy
These enzymes are produced through microbial fermentation using Aspergillus species, which are GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) by the FDA.
To maintain enzyme stability and effectiveness, FODZYME® also contains dextrin, a non-GMO corn-derived stabilizer.
The product is vegan, kosher, non-GMO, gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, egg-free, casein-free, and free from artificial colors and flavors.
