HSA/FSA payment declinedUpdated 5 hours ago

U.S. customers may be able to use HSA or FSA funds toward FODZYME® purchases. It's common for HSA/FSA cards to be declined at checkout, and a decline doesn't necessarily mean your purchase isn't eligible.

Why HSA/FSA cards get declined

There are several common reasons:

  • Your plan may require reimbursement rather than direct online payment.
  • You may not yet have a Letter of Medical Necessity on file.
  • Some HSA/FSA cards only work with approved medical providers or pharmacies, and if the merchant isn't recognized by your card processor, the transaction may be declined.
  • Your account may also have insufficient funds or a billing information mismatch.

What to do if your card is declined

We recommend completing the eligibility assessment through our partner TrueMed to receive your Letter of Medical Necessity, then purchasing with a regular credit or debit card. Save your order confirmation and receipt, and submit them along with your Letter of Medical Necessity to your HSA/FSA provider for reimbursement.

Most customers are reimbursed successfully even if their card couldn't be used at checkout. As long as you have a valid Letter of Medical Necessity, you can submit your purchase for reimbursement through your HSA/FSA provider. This can result in up to 40% savings depending on your tax bracket.
