Using FODZYME® with drinks and liquidsUpdated 15 days ago
FODZYME® can be mixed with drinks and works effectively with liquids that contain FODMAPs. Simply add your dose of FODZYME® directly to the drink, stir or shake well, and consume immediately. This ensures the enzymes begin breaking down FODMAPs as digestion starts.
FODZYME® works well with beverages containing fructans, GOS, or lactose, like milk, smoothies, beet juice, and wheat beer. Do not add FODZYME® to water as this diminishes enzyme effectiveness.
If you're mixing with liquid food like soup, let it cool to eating temperature before adding FODZYME® (around 140°F / 60°C or below).
Multiple drinks over time
If you're having several beverages over the course of a meal or event, add a standard dose to each drink individually. Once you understand your sensitivities in this type of setting, you can adjust the dosage as needed.
When it won't help
