Shelf life, best-by, expiration dates, and storage guidelinesUpdated 2 minutes ago
FODZYME® uses best-by dates rather than expiration dates because the enzymes do not suddenly stop working on a specific day. The best-by date indicates the period during which enzyme activity is at its optimal effectiveness, assuming proper storage.
Is FODZYME® still usable after the best-by date?
Yes, for a period of time. Before the best-by date, enzyme activity is at peak effectiveness. After the best-by date, activity begins to gradually decline. FODZYME® may still provide benefit, but it may not work as effectively as it did within the recommended timeframe.
Where to find the best-by date
On the Home Kit, the best-by date is located at the bottom of the jar:
On the On-the-Go Kit, it's found at the back of the flap on each packet:

How to store FODZYME®
Store in a cool, dry place below 77°F (25°C) and keep tightly sealed between uses. Avoid exposure to humidity or moisture. In warm or humid environments, storing FODZYME® in the refrigerator can help extend enzyme stability.
Will FODZYME® be damaged if it sits in a hot mailbox or delivery truck?
FODZYME® is designed to withstand temperatures up to 140°F (60°C), which is higher than what a typical mailbox or delivery vehicle reaches, even on a hot day. Sitting in a mailbox for several hours should not affect the product.
If you want to double check after delivery, open the jar and give it a quick smell. FODZYME® has a mild, neutral scent—if anything smells off or unusual, please reach out to us at [email protected].
For especially hot climates, storing FODZYME® in the refrigerator once you bring it inside can help extend enzyme stability during the summer months.
How long does FODZYME® last?
With proper storage, FODZYME® maintains its quality for a good while. Because enzymes naturally lose activity over time, we recommend using your FODZYME® before the best-by date for the best experience.
