Understanding FODZYME® Shelf Life and Best-By / Expiration DatesUpdated 17 days ago
- Home Kit: The best-by date is located at the bottom of the jar.

- On-The-Go Kit: For travel packets, the best-by date is found at the back of the flap.

Why do you use "best-by" dates instead of expiry dates?
We use best-by dates (rather than expiration dates) because FODZYME®'s enzymes do not suddenly stop working on a specific day.
The best-by date indicates the period during which FODZYME®'s enzyme activity is at its optimal effectiveness, assuming the product has been stored properly.
Is FODZYME® still usable after the best-by date?
Yes—for a period of time.
- Before the best-by date: Enzyme activity is at peak effectiveness.
- After the best-by date: Enzyme activity begins to gradually decline over time.
This means FODZYME® may still provide benefit after the best-by date, but it may not work as effectively as it did within the recommended timeframe.
What is the shelf life of FODZYME®?
With proper storage—kept dry, away from humidity, and below 77°F (25°C)—FODZYME® maintains its quality for a good while.
Because enzymes naturally lose activity over time, we recommend using your FODZYME® within one year of purchase for the best experience.
.
How should I store FODZYME® to maintain freshness?
- Store in a cool, dry place
- Avoid exposure to humidity or moisture
- Keep tightly sealed between uses
- Optional: You may store FODZYME in the refrigerator to help extend enzyme stability (especially in warm or humid environments)
