Can I combine FODZYME® with other enzymes (e.g., pancreatic enzymes) or supplements?Updated 15 days ago
FODZYME® can generally be combined with other enzymes or supplements, but a few considerations are important. It is compatible with most over-the-counter digestive enzymes and should not interfere with prescription pancreatic enzymes like Creon, as they have different activation conditions. However, it is best to avoid using FODZYME® with proteases (protein-targeting enzymes), as they may reduce its effectiveness. Additionally, while there is limited research, alpha-galactosidase—one of the enzymes in FODZYME®—may slightly reduce the activity of certain diabetes medications like acarbose, potentially easing some of their gastrointestinal side effects. To maximize effectiveness, FODZYME® should be mixed directly with food, unlike many encapsulated enzymes. If taking multiple supplements, spacing them out can help prevent interactions and improve absorption. As always, consult your healthcare provider before making changes to your supplement routine.
